I am currently the Technical Facilities Manager the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music (CDI) at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
The CDI facilities feature large format analog consoles, Studer 24 track 2” tape machines, Avid HDX systems, 22 speaker immersive rooms (i.e. Dolby Atmos), and an equipment room stocked with a wide variety of microphones and musical instruments.
From 2015 to 2022, I was a technician at CDI, maintaining the equipment and assisting students. I also develop web apps for internal use by CDI.
Prior to joining CDI in 2015, I was a technician for Main Drag Music in Brooklyn, repairing guitar effects, guitar electronics, power amplifiers, keyboards, and synthesizers.
Prior to being a technician, I spent over a decade in musical instrument retail sales. In the NYC area, I worked at Main Drag Music, Lark Street Music, Guitar Center, and very briefly at Manny’s Music. A long time ago in San Diego I worked at Music Central.
I am a musician. I play guitar, bass, and keyboards. I enjoy making music on any type of instrument and I have attempted to play everything that has come across my path (woodwinds, brass, drums, etc).
I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from New York University.
