Tycobrahe Analog Delay Line
Tycobrahe Analog Delay Line
Gut shots of a rare delay unit. Not a “guitar” specific unit, this was most likely intended for utilitarian PA work. If I recall correctly, the MIC/LINE switch is just an attenuator for the output (cuts the volume if plugging the output into a MIC input). Input is strictly low impedance. XLR connectors but unbalanced.
I don’t have a year on this, but I am seeing a lot of “74” on the 4558s and other components, so ‘74/’75 is a plausible guess. The MN3001 BBD was first available in November 1974. I doubt Tycobrahe could have whipped this out within a month of the chip’s release, so 1975 is about the earliest I would guess.
